Description
Joplin and Ochre are the sisters of beautiful Panther. They were separated when the three first arrived, as the two sisters were in such ill-health, so much so that they couldn't be handled at all, leaving them exceptionally timid and distrustful of unfamiliar people. It was over two years before one especially persistent volunteer managed to attach leads and walk them out of their pen.
Since then, both have improved greatly and Joplin has started to blossom. She walks very well, with a preference for a harness, rather than a collar but can occasionally become momentarily panicked, in the event of tangles. She is becoming quite confident with new people, readily jumping up for treats and very much enjoys affection. She is very comfortable with other dogs, often keen to make new friends, while out walking, and especially happy to see big brother, Panther.
Nonetheless, she would probably require an experienced and patient owner, and might find separation with sister, Ochre, rather traumatic.
