Aims Sponsorship Programme

We have several sponsorship programmes whereby individuals can help our aims:
1. Animal aid 80-20 scheme
This initiative allows you to sponsor an animal and support others at the same time!
You can choose an animal from our listings (marked as "available for sponsorship"). Ideal candidates often include older dogs who tend to be overlooked, long-term residents, or breeds that face adoption challenges. You might also consider sponsoring animals with special needs who have fewer chances of being adopted in the near future.
Your sponsorship plays a crucial role in meeting the needs of the animals we care for, providing much-needed support to rescue centers that are struggling to stay afloat.
Through Animal Aid Sponsorship, 80% of your contribution goes directly to the care of your selected animal, while 20% is allocated to the Animal Aid fund. This fund helps cover medical expenses and supports key cause projects benefiting other animals in our care.
As part of the Aims 80-20 scheme, you'll receive a sponsor certificate, regular updates, photos, and videos. If you’d like, we’ll also arrange a visit so you can meet your sponsored animal in person.
To contribute to this sponsorship, we kindly ask for a minimum monthly donation of 15€ for at least three months to help make it viable. Please click on the donate link and include the reference “ANIMAL AID + [name of your selected animal]” when making your donation.
2. Aims “key causes” scheme
This option lets you donate directly to specific key causes and larger projects that we're working on. These can range from initiatives like constructing a new roof for a rescue centre, funding a complex surgery for an ill or injured animal, supplying medical equipment, or supporting an animal through a rehabilitation program. With the Aims Key Causes scheme, 100% of your donation goes directly to the cause you choose. We’ll keep you updated on how much has been raised, when targets are met, and provide you with regular progress reports.
Current key causes:
- Mobility: We are providing physiotherapy and medical care for dogs with special needs, including those with mobility issues. Currently, we have several dogs suffering from discospondyloarthrosis and one with the rare condition Polyradiculoneuritis.
- Prevention campain: This campaign focuses on providing much-needed preventative care for shelter dogs, including protection against Leishmania, fleas, ticks, and sandflies. The goal is to purchase essential items like Bravecto and Seresto collars, as well as vaccinate dogs against Leishmania whenever possible. If you'd like to contribute to this important cause, please use our donation link and include the reference "PREVENT" when donating.
- Sterilization campaign: This campaign is a long-term priority for Aims. In this part of the world, there are far too many stray, unsterilized dogs. Many pet owners also face challenges prioritizing castration, especially with rising veterinary costs. As a result, preventing the overwhelming number of unwanted litters has become increasingly difficult, and these litters often end up abandoned and neglected in already overcrowded shelters. To donate specifically to this cause please use out donation link and include the reference “STERILIZE”
For our Key Causes campaign, we welcome donations of any amount—whether a one-time contribution or a regular monthly payment—to help us reach our goals. Every donation makes a difference!
