Description
After the passing of her owner, this 4-year-old Akita dog is now looking for a home filled with peace, affection, and respect.
She is a noble Japanese breed, extremely loyal, sensitive, and deeply attached to her human. She spent her life with just one owner, whom she adored, and is now going through the grieving process.
In the last few weeks, she has been lovingly cared for by her “aunt” (her owner’s sister), with whom she has built a strong emotional bond. She is affectionate, noble, protective, and playful when she feels safe.
Akira is good with people and children, good with small dogs, but not compatible with big or dominant dogs, and not sure how she is with cats.
The ideal home for her would be a house with a private garden, a stable and loving family with financial stability, no other dominant dogs, and people who understand the special psychology of this breed — willing to love her and accept her exactly as she is.
She is not suited to someone without experience or for those looking for just a pretty dog. She is meant for someone who wants a loyal, quiet life companion and is ready to love her and understand her.
